Hexa Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of Hexa Home, device cloud features, and any connected integrations.
1. Core Terms (All Integrations)
- You must have authority to use linked accounts and connected devices.
- You are responsible for credential security and account activity.
- You must not misuse, disrupt, reverse engineer, or attempt unauthorized access.
- You must not use the service for unlawful, unsafe, or harmful activities.
2. Service Scope
Hexa provides smart-home features such as command execution, automations, and state reporting. Available features can change over time.
3. Integration-Specific Terms
General Rule (Current and Future Integrations)
Third-party integrations (such as Alexa, Google Home, Home Assistant, and future platforms) are optional. Their availability and behavior may depend on third-party services and policies.
Google Calendar (Optional Integration)
If linked, Hexa uses approved OAuth permissions to read calendar data for in-app display and sync. You can unlink at any time in Hexa Home or your Google account settings.
4. Location and Geofence Terms (Optional Features)
- Geofencing features require explicit user consent and OS-level location permissions.
- On iOS/Android, background zone monitoring may require "Always" location permission. On Android, a persistent foreground-service notification may be shown while active.
- You are responsible for configuring zones and automations safely. Geofence events are not guaranteed as real-time safety signals and must not be used as emergency systems.
- You can disable tracking and revoke location permissions at any time in app and device settings.
5. Privacy and Data Use
Your use is also governed by the Hexa Privacy Policy. Data from integrations is used only for requested product features, security, and operations.
6. Availability and Safety
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features for maintenance, security, or compliance.
- You are responsible for safe physical operation of connected devices and automations.
- Location-based features may be affected by OS battery optimizations, connectivity, sensor accuracy, and platform policy changes.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties to the extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Hexa is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from service use.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time by unlinking integrations and discontinuing use. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse, security, or legal reasons.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by laws applicable in the operator jurisdiction, unless local law requires otherwise.
